Overview

What wills coordination involves

Without a registered will, the distribution of Dubai property on death is determined by the courts under applicable law. Non-Muslim owners can register a will through the DIFC Wills Service Centre or Dubai Courts; Muslim owners have options within Sharia principles. The will itself must be drafted by a qualified legal professional.

Our role is coordination: we connect you with the appropriate drafter, assemble the property and identification documents, arrange translation where needed and manage the registration appointment, so the will is valid and findable when it matters.

Coordination service. ASMA manages the paperwork and sequencing; the underlying decision or act is made by the relevant licensed professional or authority.

How it works

Process, step by step

  1. 1

    Consult

We understand the assets and the people involved and introduce the right drafter.

  2. 2

    Draft

The drafter prepares the will; we supply property documents.

  3. 3

    Register

Appointment booked and attended; the will is registered.

  4. 4

    Store

Copy and reference held on your file.

Documents usually required

  • Passport and Emirates ID
  • Title deeds for each Dubai property
  • Details of beneficiaries and guardians
  • Marriage and birth certificates where relevant

Exact requirements vary by developer, bank and authority; your case manager confirms the list for your file before anything is submitted.

Fees

Quoted on enquiry

Our coordination fee is confirmed on enquiry; drafter and registration fees are paid directly to the professional or registry. Government and third-party charges are always paid at cost and confirmed in writing before we begin.

No online payment is taken. A written quotation is issued before any work starts.

Frequently asked

Questions about wills coordination

Do I need a Dubai will if I have one at home?

In most cases a UAE-registered will is strongly advisable for UAE assets, as a foreign will may not be recognised quickly or at all. Your drafter will advise.

Can the will cover property in other emirates?

Registration options differ by emirate and registry. We confirm the correct registry with the drafter.
